Sometimes when we retail, we shy away from showing the clients everything they need because of the little nagging voice in our heads telling us not to SELL too much. We don’t want to appear pushy or greedy.

We shy away because we hear SELL SELL SELL – while our clients are asking HELP HELP HELP! As a customer, I want, I want, I want – so give me what I want (I already know it’s going to cost me)! So what exactly do I want???? I am paying for a professional treatment, so I want professional advice and I want all of the products presented to me that would help improve my skin.

I want to know why I need them and what they will do for me (when will I see results). I want ongoing advice and to be monitored ie: remind me why I need sunscreen on my face. I want my therapist to care about me, which means if a new treatment or product comes to the market that would suit me, I want her to let me know about it immediately.

I want my therapist to EXPECT me to buy – I find it insulting as a customer when people assume that I can’t afford something. I want a skin consultation every season and to be recommended products that would be best for that season. I want to know about new services. I want to be pampered. I WANT,I WANT, I WANT! Please give me more than what I want….give me what I NEED!
